Great Scott! What a great time to be an 80s movie lover! No sooner do we hear news of a Lego Ghostbusters set than a musical version of Back to the Future is announced to be coming to London's West End.
Adapted from the Michael J Fox-starring film in time for the movie's 30th anniversary, the show will land at some point in 2015, and is being tipped for a Broadway run if it proves a success on our shores. It follows in the footsteps of other screen-to-stage adaptations including Shrek, Ghost and Legally Blonde. Expect the music of Huey Lewis and the News and Chuck Berry's Johnny B. Goode to be among the stage show's numbers, considering how prominently they feature in the original flick's soundtrack.
Though no casting details have been revealed yet, the show has already found a "skateboard consultant". Now all it needs is a theoretical physicist with access to a DeLorean and they'll be away. [Sky News]
