Thanks to the impressive turn out by Motorola's affordable Moto G smartphone, budget-orientated handsets will have to step up their game in order to impress. Acer's thrown its hat into the ring with the €199 (£163) Liquid E3.
Pictured above, it's not looking too shabby, with a 4.7-inch 720p IPS screen and a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, backed by 1GB of RAM. A 13MP rear camera sounds impressive for the price, but that's balanced out by a measly 4GB of storage space.
Alongside the Liquid E3, Acer will also launch the cheaper-still Liquid Z4. An uninspiring 4-inch handset, it sports a 1.3GHz dual-core processor and 5MP camera with 4GB of storage space onboard. Like the Liquid E3, it'll be running Android 4.2.2, and it too will also launch in April, priced at around £80.
