Beyond posturing, is there any point to big grandstanding mobile phone launches these days? We knew practically everything there was to know about the HTC One M8 ahead of its release, and Nokia's X phones. With this latest LG G3 leak, the same can be said about LG's next flagship too.
The leak appears to have come from some sort of presentation about the device, likely given in LG's homeland given the language the slides are written in. If real, it confirms a 5.5-inch QHD IPS screen running at a sharp 2560 x 1440 resolution for a pixel density of 538ppi. Under the hood sits a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage space. The LG G2's rear buttons and volume rocker return, with a 13MP camera with OIS on the back too. This all sits inside a chassis 146.3 x 74.6 x 8.9mm, making the handset just a tad bigger than its predecessor.
Pretty much as expected then, aside from a hint at gesture-controlled selfie shots, with the shutter seemingly activated by making a fist with your hand. We'll be heading down to LG's official launch event next Tuesday, though at this rate there won't be much work left for us to do at it! [G4Games]
