EE Tops UK Call Connection Reliability Survey

Mobile network EE beat the more established mobile players when it came to successfully connecting its users during the last half of 2013, with 97 per cent of attempted calls working as intended.

The stats come from an Ofcom report compiled using data from RootMetrics. The assembled numbers show that Vodafone performed the worst across the UK, successfully connecting just 92.6 per cent of calls, a number that dropped to 79.9 per cent when tracking call made in rural areas.

RootMetrics claims to have driven 35,000km of roads and made more than 28,000 calls on each network to generate its connection data. [Ofcom via Mobile News]
