Amazon's Fire Phone is finally coming to the UK later this month. First suggested by the Financial Times and since independently verified by a trusted source, it will be exclusively offered up on O2's network.
The phone, which will also be available through Amazon.co.uk, uses multiple front-facing cameras to track a user's face, with a screen that has a 3D depth effect. Despite successes in the tablet and eReader space, Amazon's entering a truly tough market with its smartphone, and that's reflected in estimated sales stateside. According to the Guardian, no more than 35,000 Fire Phones had been sold up to the end of August.
