London Might Turn its Lost Underground Stations Into Shops, Museums and Hotels

Transport for London is apparently looking at ways to bring some of the city's numerous abandoned underground stations, tunnels and buildings back to life, via a plan to invite backers to place bids to turn them into galleries, museums and hotels.

According to the Standard, TfL could start the process by setting up one project as a showcase, or sell or lease several old properties at once to kickstart a new subterranean development boom -- and earn money from a portfolio of centrally located relics thought to be worth around £3.6bn.
