Originally rumoured to be reworking a Qualcomm Toq for Android Wear, inside sources claim that HTC has since abandoned its wearables ambitions altogether with rising costs and the lack of "wow factor" being cited as possible reasons.
If the reports are accurate then it's not difficult to see why HTC has made this decision. There's an awful lot of competition in the smartwatch business these days and competition will only get worse if Apple goes ahead and announces the iWatch on Tuesday.
So the watch that was rumoured to be called the One Wear might be no more. At least HTC is still in the business of making excellent phones. [Digital Spy]
