Fake Tinder Profiles Used to Highlight Sex Trafficking Shame

By Gary Cutlack on at

An Irish ad company has created a weird campaign that exists solely inside the Tinder app, using a model and a series of increasingly grim photographs to highlight sex trafficking on behalf of the government.

The fake ad starts with a heavily made up lady, looking exactly like the sort of of person you'd like to spend an energetic, non-committal 15 minutes with in any common pub toilet. But scroll through the images and they tell a story of a woman seemingly forced into the sex industry against her will, ending with a warning that women, some as young as 14, are forced into doing bad things by bad people.
