Large Hadron Collider Restarting in March 2015

That stuff-smashing pipe will be having another go at finding the lost pieces of the jigsaw puzzle of the universe early next year, with the serious particle science set to begin again in March.

This second firing of the LHC will see the 27-kilometre superconducter operating with nearly twice the smashing power it had during its first run, as scientists hope to enjoy another three-year session of looking at small things. [CERN]
