Environmental Decline is Damaging the UK's Real Money Economy

A deterioration in the UK's natural world is having a negative effect on the economy, according to an environmental pressure group that says we should green-up towns and cities to make us happier and more productive.

The Natural Capital Committee says focusing on improving air quality and making cities greener would have positive effects on the economy by improving the physical and mental health of inhabitants, while also suggesting we should create hundreds of thousands of hectares of woodlands and wetlands to limit the impact of flooding and give us more places to go at the weekends.
