See Mr Crab there at the start of the video? His day is about to get a whole lot worse. I won't spoil the #BrutalNature clip for you but, caught on camera by Porsche Indrisie in Yallingup, Western Australia, it's the sort of "blink-and-you'll-miss-it" moment that the likes of David Attenborough spend a career chasing:
“I didn’t know why I chose to film this crab, but thought I would try and get closer to it but something else beat me to it”, says Indrisie in the comment thread on YouTube, who, ironically, works as a seafood assistant at Burswood Seafood.
“The best and unexpected video I’ve ever captured!”
Similar behaviour has been observed in the wild before, but never caught on film. Definitive proof then that octopodes love crab sticks as much as the next person. [YouTube]
