SpaceX Will Make its Second Attempt at a Rocket Landing On Sunday

By Chris Mills on at

After his first attempt to land a Falcon 9 rocket on a drone barge went up in flames, Elon Musk isn't giving up: round two will take place this Sunday.

A SpaceX rocket will be used to launch the Deep Space Climate Observatory (DSCOVR), a US government satellite that will monitor "space weather'.

The launch is scheduled for 6.10PM EST on February 8th from Cape Canaveral (11.10PM GMT). NASA TV will be live-streaming the whole thing here – hopefully the highlights reel on this occasional will be a little less explosive.
