F1 Fan Risks Death in Track Invasion Stunt

A Formula One fan is likely to miss the Chinese Grand Prix this weekend due to being in prison. He was arrested after clearing security fences and running across the track during today's practise session.

And that wasn't even the weirdest thing he did during the moment of madness. Reports say the man then ran into the Ferrari garage at the Shanghai International Circuit and asked if he could have a quick go in a car, you know, for a laugh, seeing as he bought a ticket and everything, before security caught up with him and he was arrested and removed.

As ever with a thing happening, it was caught on TV:

F1 journalist Ian Parkes described the moment via his Twitter feed, explaining: "Fan scaled the catch-fencing, then across the straight, up the pit wall, across the pitlane and into the Ferrari garage." [Metro]
