Summer's coming to the UK! And we all know what that means: rain! And heaps of it, which means that you'll probably spend much of the next few months in doors. With that in mind, it's good to know there'll be something decent to watch on telly next month.
Sky will be premiering the second season of True Detective on June 22nd, so mark your calendar and unlike certain other HBO-made TV shows, it'll be airing less than 24-hours in the UK after it does in the States.
Starring the likes of Colin Farrell, Rachel McAdams, Vince Vaughn and Taylor Kitsch, the second season of Nic Pizzolatto's atmospheric crime procedural looks like it'll be every bit as tense and dramatic as the first instalment, which featured Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson. If you haven't seen the first series, we urge you to watch it. It's awesome.
In other news, on Monday June 22nd Sky Atlantic also heralds the arrival of the first episode of something called The Brink, a dark comedy following a geopolitical crisis starring Tim Robbins and Jack Black. So, a dark drama and a dark comedy. Two dark TV shows to complement your rainy summer. Sweet!
