Apple's Subliminal MacBook Display Messaging Makes You BUY BUY BUY

By Tom Pritchard on at

Anyone who's paid any attention over the past decade or so will know that Apple is like the anti-Burger King. Things are done Apple's way, and what everyone wants is (mostly) out of the question. The perfect example of that in action is Apple declaring that all Apple Store MacBooks' displays must be kept at a 76-degree angle.

Just precise angling is nothing new, and in the past it's been no secret that Apple wanted all displays to be kept at a 70-degree angle. So why the change? The same reason as before, to ensure that the first thing customers do is adjust the screen and get touching the product to feel that all-metal casing for themselves.

That's a change of six whole degrees, everyone, which makes all the difference when it comes to making sure those laptops are flying off the shelves.

Don't expect Apple Store Geniuses to go round with a protractor checking all those screens are in exactly the right place, there's an app for that. Sadly you're not allowed to have it. [Business Insider]
