Apple Sexes up its Magic Keyboard and Magic Mouse, and Brings Force Touch to the Trackpad

Apple has introduced a trio of new peripherals, which should help you bling up your grubby, coffee-stained desk. Tim Cook and co have pulled the wraps off the Apple Magic Keyboard, Magic Mouse 2 and Magic Trackpad 2, though it’s the final piece that has us most excited.

The trackpad has been blessed with Force Touch, the new technology that features in the Apple Watch and 12-inch MacBook. It recognises when you exert different levels of pressure with your fingers, enabling you to control rewind speeds more easily than ever, for instance. It’s available today for a cool £109.

Also fresh on the market are the £79 keyboard and £65 mouse, which Apple hails as “more comfortable, capable and environmentally friendly” than anything that’s come before them. The keyboard is 13 per cent smaller than its predecessor too, featuring scissor-type keys, while the mouse is a touch lighter. Phwoar.
