Domino's Limited Edition 'Easy Order' Button is Shamelessly Pointless, But You'll Still Want it

By Aatif Sulleyman on at

The people in charge of Domino’s, Pizza Hut and KFC seem intent on trolling the world, and the former has now turned its attentions to Amazon Dash and the Internet of Things. Domino’s has unveiled the ‘Easy Order’ button, which is almost entirely pointless, but will inevitably get people excited.

It’s a physical button encased in a mini pizza box, which connects to your smartphone over Bluetooth. Once you’ve saved your favourite pizza on the Domino’s app and decided you need to cram some of the stuff in your belly, you can excitedly waddle over to the button and hit it whenever you want to feast. Once your order’s been made, the button glows red.

It's almost completely useless, of course, as you can simply use the app to make your order. But whatever. 2015 has already seen Domino's make ripples by launching a service whereby customers could order simply by tweeting the pizza emoji to the Domino's Twitter account. Here's to healthy living.
