Eh? Wonga, Ryanair and Tesco Are Some of the UK's Most Improved Brands

We shit you not. Despite Tesco’s long, long list of problems and the fact that everyone hates Wonga and Ryanair, the companies appear to have gone up in our estimations. According to the YouGov BrandIndex, the British public have heard a lot more positive things about the three firms of late, so they're being rewarded with a bit more positive press.

  5. RBS
  6. Co-operative Insurance
  7. Lloyds Bank
  8. Ryanair
  9. Tesco
  10. Barclays

However, a place on the list doesn’t necessarily equate to a favourable rep. Although Wonga was the second-most improved brand of 2015, gaining 11.4 positivity points (not what they're really called), the company still has an overall score of -20.6. Similarly, Co-operative Bank has improved by 14.4 points, but still has a score of -1.4.

Meanwhile, German firms Aldi and Lidl once again dominated the top brands list, with scores of 19.7 and 17.5, respectively. Yorkshire Tea made a first appearance in the top 10, coming in 7th place, while Apple and Waitrose shared 10th spot. [Telegraph]
