Night Tube Launch Edges Closer With Positive Aslef Union Vote

As expected, the London Underground train drivers represented by the Aslef union have accepted improved conditions for the Night Tube service. Almost 90% of its members voted in favour of taking the money and putting an end to the Night Tube-dodging fun, so we’re another step closer to the rollout of the 24-hour service.

Last week, RMT's drivers finally got behind the Night Tube, but unfortunately, members of the Unite union, as well as the maintenance workers represented by the TSSA and RMT, are still unhappy.

There’s still a few more battles to be fought, but the Night Tube edges nearer. I can picture the sweet drunken carnage already. [BBC]
