Sony’s rolling out its major Remote Play update today, and it will allow you to stream PS4 games to your PC or Mac, you know, when the selfish people in your life won’t give up TV rights. Your machine needs to be running Windows 8.1 or higher, or OS 10.10 or higher for you to be able to slurp up the remote loveliness.
However, we wouldn’t recommend planning your gaming life around your computer just yet. No, you can't live your entire life in bed. Streaming will be available in a default resolution of 540p at 30fps -- though you’ll be able to hit 720p and 60fps on a really good setup -- so the experience unfortunately won’t be as good as it is directly from your console.
The PS4 3.5 update will also allow you to appear offline, receive notifications when your mates get online and find out which titles people are playing in a party. Not a real party though. You'd just shimmy over and shout in their ear at one of those. [Eurogamer]
