So July has proven just as depressing as the rest of 2016, though at least the sun's finally made its first summer appearances. It's the weekend, and time to pretend you actually enjoy living on this planet. Here are a few things to distract you from the bad stuff going on everywhere.
The Legend of Tarzan looks a bit joyless, doesn’t it? Luckily for those of you who hate having fun forced upon you, it is. According to most of the reviews anyway. Watchable but by no means memorable, it’ll at least fill up a couple of hours of your Saturday afternoon.
Not tempted? For something equally overhyped, see Now You See Me 2. We had such high hopes for this week too.
No such problem with the gaming section. Pokémon GO has been a revelation, capturing our hearts, sending Nintendo’s shares soaring and even prompting police to issue safety warnings to users. Seriously though, look before you cross. Though it hasn’t officially arrived in the UK, here’s how to sneakily download it.
I know I always say this, but seriously, how are you planning stuff with the Wimbledon and Euro 2016 finals on? Getting merry and yelling at a screen is what summer's all about, after all. An utterly bonkers decision.
If sports aren't your thing, there's plenty more to look forward to. Wales appears to be the place to be this weekend, with the Cardiff International Food and Drink Festival kicking off today, and the British Speedway Grand Prix roaring into action tomorrow.
