There are quite a few criticisms levelled at the Apple Watch (and smartwatches in general), but the main issue people had was with the battery life. It would usually last though the day, but nobody wants to have to worry about charging their watch every night. Thankfully the second generation should be getting a welcome upgrade.
An image, found on Chinese social networking site Weibo and later posted to Twitter, shows off the battery that's supposed to be part of the updated smartwatch. It has a 334 mAh capacity, which is 36% bigger than the 246 mAh battery found in the original Apple Watch.

At the moment we don't know what Apple Watch 2 models are coming, but this battery is likely for the 42mm variant. It's safe to assume that the 38mm model will include a battery slightly smaller than this, but still larger than the 205 mAh in the original.
I'm still hoping Apple changes the fugly rectangular design, or at least releases a round variant in the near future. [BGR]
