Sony Brings 'Full' PC and Mac Love to DualShock 4 With New Dongle

The dongle. Nothing’s sexier than the dongle. Well aware of the fact, Sony’s just unveiled the DualShock 4 USB wireless adaptor, a $24.99 (£19) stick that’s set to land on September 15th.

The dongle, says Sony, opens up access to the gamepad’s buttons, analogue sticks, touchpad, light bar, motion sensors, vibration, and stereo headset jack, as the long as the game or app you’re using plays nice with all of the features too.

It's worth noting that you can connect your computer to the DualShock 4 over Bluetooth without a dongle, but Sony claims the little stick will make the experience better.

The adaptor works with PlayStation Now, which is now available on the PC, as well as PS4 Remote Play, the app that lets you remotely play your PlayStation games on your computer, over a local network connection. We'll let you know when UK pricing is announced. [PlayStation Blog]
