London's Night Tube Map Also Shows Taxi Ranks Now

By Gary Cutlack on at

Whoever has the nightmare job of updating London's transport map has been handed a new layer of data to amalgamate -- taxi ranks. More specifically, stations along the new Night Tube overnight service that have taxi ranks outside them, so when you emerge blinking into the orangey glow of Cockfosters there should be a man in a black cab there, ready to have a nice chat about Ukip with you whether you like it or not all the rest of the way home.

The entire thing on TfL's web site shows the taxi ranks at around 90 of the Night Tube's 140-odd stations, making the final wobble home a bit easier, albeit more expensive and less beneficial for your health, when getting home late via the all-nighter services that now run at weekends on the the Central, Victoria, Northern, Jubilee and Piccadilly lines.
