Here Are All The Games Announced For Switch, So Far

By Kim Snaith on at

It's officially Nintendo Switch day! The long-awaited reveal of price and lineup has finally materialised. £280 will buy you Ninty's newest console/portable hybrid, but what about the games you can get with it? Well, here's what we know so far.

Super Mario Odyssey

Mario's all grown up and hitting the big city. Our favourite chubby plumber looks a little out of place in these more realistic settings, but it looks like a long-overdue refresh to the series that will (hopefully) be worth the wait.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Yay, Zelda. Breath of the Wild is one of only a handful of titles confirmed to be available at launch. And just look how pretty it is.

1-2 Switch

Here's another game announced for launch. Nintendo haven't completely left behind their Wii roots with this action-oriented one-on-one, but it looks like something that'll be fun for an hour or so.

Arms is another one that wants you to wave around your Joy Con like it's 2006. But you get to throw some punches with giant boxing-glove hands at least.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

It's a shame it's not a new iteration, but hey, it's Mario Kart. This one is set to release on 28th April.

Splatoon 2

The sequel to the surprisingly successful paintball brawler is set to come out this summer, and looks just as chaotic and colourful as we'd expect.

Fire Emblem Warriors

In the least helpful trailer ever, classic series' Fire Emblem and Warriors merge for what I can only imagine will be all-out carnage. Cool.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2

It's got no release date yet, but a follow-up to last year's popular Xenoblade Chronicles is on the horizon.

Sonic Mania

Nintendo's adopted blue hedgehog has, of course, got a home on the Switch too. No release date yet, but we anticipate it'll launch alongside other platforms this spring.

Super Bomberman R

You didn't ask for more Bomberman, but here it is anyway. It's a brand new entry to the franchise, and it looks pretty fun.

Puyo Puyo Tetris

Puyo Puyo Tetris, a combination of Tetris and Japanese match-3 puzzler Puyo Puyo has been around a few years, but this is its first release into the West.

Also confirmed is:

  • A new Shin Megami Tensei game
