An Animated Deadpool Series is on the Way

By Tom Pritchard on at

In news that isn't all that surprising, Deadpool is going to get his own animated series from Community's Donald Glover and his brother Stephen.

Thankfully, unlike other animated Marvel properties, this show is not designed for children. The first series will consist of 10 episodes, and will air on the FXX network in the US, and is the third television partnership between Marvel and Fox. For those not paying attention to this sort of thing, the other two are Legion and The Gifted

The Glover brothers will lend their writing talents to the series, as well as acting as the programme's showrunners. A writing room has apparently already been set up in London where Donald is currently filming the Han Solo prequel.

There's no word on who will be the voice behind the Merc's infamous mouth, but it's likely that Ryan Reynolds will not be involved. If I were a betting man I'd put money on Nolan North, given the many times he's played Deadpool in the past. [Marvel via CBR]
