If you're on EE you might have noticed that your phone has been playing up a bit today. Well that's because EE has confirmed it's suffering from problems that are preventing users from calling other networks.
According to EE the problem is limited to people on EE trying to call another network. Other users calling an EE phone can get through just fine, and calling other EE users seems to be working as well. It's likely that MVNOs that use EE signal are affected as well, which explains why our Production Editor (who is on EE) was able to call a Virgin number a short time ago.
EE has released the following statement:
“Some of our customers are reporting problems when trying to make calls to some numbers this morning. All data and messaging services are working as normal. We’re working to fix this as quickly as possible and apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
So stick to texting, or use WhatsApp.
