Children's Band Class Is Way Better With Vocoders, Drum Machines, and Daft Punk

By Andrew Liszewski on at

When I was a kid, the only reason I took band class in school was to avoid spending two hours in study hall every week. My motivations would have been completely different, however, were I raised in South Korea where fourth graders get to perform Daft Punk tracks instead of Sousa’s greatest hits.

I’m not only jealous that these students from Namsong elementary school in Daegu, South Korea, got to perform Daft Punk’s Something About Us, I’m also amazed at how perfectly they covered the piece with electronic keyboards, drum machines, and one talented kid rocking a vocoder.
