Netflix Shames Bee Movie Fanatic

Streaming giant Netflix has released some stats that appear designed to humiliate a handful of its users into cancelling their subscriptions, highlighting the fact that one person in the UK makes a daily ritual out of watching Bee Movie.

Netflix says one UK citizen watched the Jerry Seinfeld CG vehicle 357 times during the last 12 months, which is a little bit strange. Unless it's a child being left propped up in front of it, in which case it's a little bit sad. Maybe someone's cat likes it? In France they're all about Shrek, with Shrek Forever After picking up 238 views, and things are as ever a bit more serious in Germany, where the top repeat viewed film was Ocean's Eleven.

The global winner and therefore also the loser was, unsurprisingly, an American viewer, who managed to watch Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl 365 times in the course of a year, hinting at a Depp fan with mental problems or a stuck computer left looping in the house of someone who died and is yet to be discovered. [Radio Times]
