Kids at a London school have been banned from playing in the snow by their worried head teacher, because he's stressing that snowballs might take out eyes and leave him having to spend all of 2018/19's staff budget on compensation to the families of newly blinded children.
That's but one of the reasons kids at the Jo Richardson Community School are being warned not to play in the snow. Head teacher Ges Smith is also worried that cold hands are a distraction from work, with the child boss telling ITV's morning telly that it's: "...about being fit for work. If your hands are cold you’re not ready -- if the last thing you do is have a snowball in your face you’re not ready for school." [The Times]
