Everyone loves a nice big sausage, especially as the days are lengthy and the temperature's increasing, but finding one that's big enough can be a bit of a challenge. The average sausage is way too small for someone with a ferocious appetite, which is why Aldi has stepped in to make sure there are plenty of big ones for people to enjoy.
These beasts first launched as a limited edition product last November, but Aldi has decided to bring them back so you can stuff some extra large meat in your mouth this summer. They should be more than enough to fill your bun, and if you're very fussy about where your sausage came from Aldi has confirmed that this is 100 per cent British meat.
The sausages go on sale tomorrow (24th May), meaning you'll have plenty of big thick bangers to grill up over the bank holiday weekend. They're a special buy, though, so they're not going to be around forever. In fact, given how much people seem to love big sausages don't expect them to last very long.
If sausages aren't enough meat to make your mouth water, Aldi is also bringing back the 1lb Colossal Beef Burger and the 16 oz extra thick 'Big Daddy' rump steak.
The downside is that good, solid meat doesn't come cheap. The sausages £1.89 for a pack of two, the Burger is £2.59, and the steak is £4.99. Aldi isn't even stocking matching bready partners, so you're going to need to stock up on buns to handle it all. Or you can share one with your friends, just make sure everyone gets their fair share.
