Vodafone Will Let New Customers Escape Their Contracts With a 30-Day Guarantee

When you switch providers, there are a few things you can do to make sure you're going to get good service - especially if you're signing up for a multi-year deal with a phone network. Check the signal maps for your area, check what people have been saying online, and so on. But even then you may find yourself unhappy with what you're getting. Well Vodafone has your back, offering a new 30-day guarantee to help you escape its contracts scot-free.

The new 30 Day Service Guarantee means you can walk away from your contract without any penalties, regardless of what the reason is. In the past Vodafone offered something similar, but that only applied to people who didn't have very good signal once they switched. Now, though, you could probably try and cancel because the customer service rep offended your ears by calling you pal or buddy.

The guarantee is available to all the new customers, be they business or personal, and means you essentially get to trial the network before making up your mind. Nick Jeffery, Chief Executive Officer at Vodafone UK, said:

"We’ve been listening to what our customers want and over the last year have worked tirelessly to introduce new technology and initiatives to help us deliver great customer service. Now we’re backing our big improvements with a big promise – try us for 30 days and if you’re not impressed, you’re free to walk away. No penalties, no ifs, no buts."

Obviously if you do end up cancelling, you have to return any devices associated with the contract and pay off the time you've used. It's not a free trial, and it certainly doesn't let you buy a bunch of add-ons for your contract and get away without paying. All you need to do is ring Vodafone, or head to one of its store.
