O2's Family Plan Comes With Helpful Features Like Parental Controls and Up to 50% Off for 20 People

By Tom Pritchard on at

O2 wants to make everything easier for families, launching a new Family Plan that will bring everyone onto a single account and monthly bill. That makes organising everything nice and easy, while giving everyone access to a bunch of perks, features, and discounts.

The idea here is to help O2 customers who might be juggling multiple bills and contracts every month, bringing everything together into the My O2 app for easy access. Up to 20 different connections can be added to the plan, from any O2 Refresh pay monthly tariff or SIM only tariff, with up to 50 per cent off each tariff's regular price.

On top of that families will have access to a full array of parental controls, should they have young kids, with the plan including a free full subscription to Qustodio Premium. Qustodio isn't specific to any single device, OS, or network, working across iOS, Android, Mac, and Windows, and gives parents the ability to manage screen time, filter inappropriate content, set time limits on certain apps, block other apps, monitor social media use, location tracking, and other emergency features like panic buttons.

Families will also have access to an online hub powered by the NSPCC, offering free help and advice to parents to make sure their kids stay safe online. That includes the Net Aware guide, which covers the top 40 apps, sites, and games the kids of today are into.

Nina Bibby, O2’s Chief Marketing officer, said:

“We recognise that managing family life in today’s digital world can often be complicated and as a parent myself I have first-hand experience. So our new Family Plan has been designed to keep our customer’s family mobile bills both simple and affordable, whilst also providing peace of mind when it comes to online safety with comprehensive parental controls software. Combined with access to exclusive family offers and personalised support, we want to help simplify our customer’s lives so they can make the most of that invaluable family time.”
