We all knew that the Galaxy Note 9 would be coming with an S-Pen, and didn't really need the launch announcement video to confirm that for us. But the emphasis on the pen, along with other rumours, suggests that Samsung has something special lined up for the Note 9's stylus. In fact, the latest rumour claims the S-Pen will come with Bluetooth functionality.
This information comes from IceUniverse, the prolific leaker that seems to know a suspiciously large amount about the Note 9. But I can't imagine people are complaining, since it lets them speculate about the device long before Samsung reveals it to the world.
The Galaxy Note9 SPen can be used to control long-range self-timer, control music playback, because it is a Bluetooth device, it will do something unrelated to the pen. pic.twitter.com/WPS83xUskq

So from the sounds of things the S-Pen will have a button that acts as a Bluetooth remote of sorts, enabling users to do a variety of things without actually having to touch the phone itself. That could be useful, and it certainly beats the alternative of having to use Bixby voice commands in similar situations.
There's not a lot we don't know about the Note 9 at this point. Leaked renders seem to show that it looks almost identical to the Note 8, which isn't surprising, and includes the same horizontal dual-camera layout that supposedly makes room for the S-Pen and a larger 4,000 mAh battery.
