Earlier today we saw Royole announce what it says will be the first commercially-available foldable phone. But that's not all the folding phone news for today, because a new rumour claims LG will unveil its own foldable phone at CES in January.
LG is one of the companies that's supposed to have been working on folding phones for years, and like Samsung there hasn't been much to show for it. The most recent news we had was that LG and Lenovo had teamed up to produce a folding tablet, and now it seems to company may have a bendy device ready to show off at CES in Las Vegas next January. Or so says serial leaker Evan Blass, better known as @evleaks on Twitter.
I can't speak for Samsung...
...but I do know that LG plans to unveil a foldable phone at its 2019 CES keynote.

That's pretty much all we have to work with, but seeing as how foldable phones are now very real it's a better time than ever to show something off. Plus there's a lot more competition now, especially since Samsung has already promised to show off its bendy phone before the end of this year and Huawei has been bigging up its own foldable phone plans. LG can't really afford to wait, not that they have anything to gain by rushing the process.
