If you're old enough to remember when London last had Taco Bells (in the mid-nineties), you'll have been waiting a very long time to hear that they're coming back.
And that's exactly what's happening: not one, not two, not three, but FOUR new Taco Bell restaurants will open in the capital before Christmas. It's a Mexican miracle.
According to the Standard, the four branches will be in Croydon, Fulham, Hammersmith and Holborn, and the famous Taco Tuesdays offer will also be coming to these shores, in which you get a taco and a beer (or soft drink) for a bargainous £2.
Interestingly, while we haven't had Taco Bell stores in London for aeons, there are lots of them outside the capital, in locations as diverse as Rotherham, Glasgow and Basildon. It's nice to see a big chain remembering that life exists outside the M25.
Some of those locations also have delivery service via Deliveroo, which we hope will also be the case for the new branches.
The previous two London outlets were at Earls Court and Leicester Square (ish). Both were built in 1986 but poor sales meant the Bell came to an end ten years later.
