Avocado aficionados will no doubt be saying "holy guacamole" over the latest addition to Morrisons' produce range: a heckin' giant avocado that can make twelve portions of av-on-toast all by itself.
Measuring up to 25cm and weighing up to a kilo, the green giants cost just £2 each, which is somehow still enough to ensure you never buy a house according to the mainstream media.
Grown in Argentina, the megacadoes have a ratio of 70% flesh to 30% stone, which is apparently at least as good as a regular-sized 'do. Not that we've measured. But at least you can be assured you're not paying over the odds for a massive stone – save that for the engagement ring you also can't afford because you spent all your money on pumpkin spice lattes.
Morrisons' Avocado Expert James Turner, whose business card we envy enormously, comments:
"Despite their size, these avocados still have a distinctive creamy flavour. The skin turns from green to black when they’re ripe, so you’ll always know when they’re ready to eat. Because avocados are so popular right now, we think these will fly off the shelves."
They'll be in most Morrisons stores from the 12th to the 16th of November. They're too heavy to carry by hand, but should be OK if you avocado.
