Every silver lining has a cloud: Transport for London has confirmed the Night Tube service will be coming to a bunch more lines, but not until 2023.
According to CityAM, the Circle, District, Metropolitan and Hammersmith & City lines will join the Jubilee, Victoria, and (most of) the Central, Northern and Piccadilly lines in offering overnight services on Fridays and Saturdays. It doesn't sound like it'll be every station on those lines either, so if you're on a branch in zone 9 of the Met line, you might well be out of luck.
Before any of the new Night Tube lines can get underway, though, TfL has to finish the Four Lines Modernisation Programme, a £5.4m scheme that involves replacing and updating things like trains and signalling systems. That work is due to finish in 2023, and that's when TfL will look at adding Night Tube to those four lines.
