[Update:] The phone is official, as it's just been launched in China. There's no word on international availability, but it will cost 3,999 Yuan (£399) and comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The black version costs £529, don't expect it to be any less than that if it comes here.
Phone companies generally like to make a large range of colours available, as if people aren't going to stuff phones into cases anyway. OnePlus was an exception with the 6T, following the Henry Ford mantra of "any colour, as long as it's black". But it might not be that way for long, with a new leak suggesting the phone will be coming in purple.
This information comes from leaked promotional images published by Mr Gizmo, and if legit they mean the 6T will go on sale in 'Thunder Purple' sometime in the near future. It's very similar to the 'lilac' purple featured in Samsung's recent range of Galaxy phones, as you can see below.
The OnePlus 6 and 5T were both made available in different variants of red and white, and so far OnePlus hasn't revealed any information about new colours. I did ask, but sadly they told me the 6T would only be coming in black. It seems that was a clever marketing lie, because these images certainly look convincing. Sadly there's no information on where they came from, so there's always that chance they're part of an elaborate hoax.
There's also no word on when this phone might make it to market, and what sort of availability there will be. After all OnePlus has a habit of offering exclusives for the Indian market (with good reason), so we're just going to have to wait and see what happens. [Mr Gizmo via TechRadar]
