Last week we heard about a special 'Thunder Purple' OnePlus 6T which had been announced for China. Since the 6T had only been revealed in Black this was great news, until we heard that the phone wasn't going to be available outside of China. But, in a strange turn of events, that's not the case. The new phone hue will be coming to the UK on November 15th.
The only difference with the Thunder Purple 6T is its colour. The price and hardware is exactly the same as the black OnePlus 6T handsets you can already buy, though you can only get the version with 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage. It's a lot like the Silk White and Lava Red OnePlus 6 models that were released earlier this year, and it's nice that OnePlus aren't upping the cost for a fancy new colour.
That colour looks a lot like the bright purple phones we've been seeing from the likes of Samsung, though OnePlus has added an "evocative ‘S’ curve" on the back of the phone to "highlight the depth of colour."
We don't know whether the new colour will have the same retail availability as the other two 6T handsets, but it will be available from OnePlus's online store across Europe and the US on 15th November. Presumably sales will open up at 9am GMT.
