A complicated kind of modern restaurant proposition is opening in Brighton soon, going by the name of The Canna Kitchen. It's a veggie and vegan restaurant with a twist. The twist being it's serving food flavoured with cannabis products, seeing as we're all permissive about that sort of thing now.
The bad news part of the deal isn't the vegan and veggie option; it's that the Canna Kitchen is only using the non-psychoactive branch of cannabis products, so the only highs on offer will be of the ketogenic kind in the heads of diners who've been avoiding carbohydrates all day. Canna's chefs will be using the cannabidiol and cannabigerol blends of cannabinoid oils, which do not have the mind-bending properties of the better known underground forms of the drug, hence it's all legal and fine and all about seeing if you can notice a vague flavour.
Therefore from opening night on December 1, only people high from positive eating will be emerging from Canna's Brighton home. Kitchen boss Sam Evolution said: "The numerous beneficial properties of the cannabis plant have always inspired me. It is one of the most versatile crops in nature, with potential applications in almost every area of our modern life." [Canna Kitchen via Metro]
