Now THIS is the kind of Black Friday offer we can get behind.
Uber Eats is doing a buy-12-get-12-for-£1 deal on Krispy Kreme doughnuts, which may not be the catchiest special offer ever invented but we're not going to worry about that when there are sweet treats on offer.
To take advantage of the deal, you buy a box of any dozen doughnuts from the Uber Eats app (participating Krispy Kreme stores only blah blah), then add an Original Glazed dozen for £1.
The offer's available from Black Friday itself (Friday 23rd) at 00.01 to Monday 26th at 23.59.
Apparently Uber Eats sold 25,000 doughnuts last Black Friday, although it's possible one person ordered 24,000 and skewed the figures. You know who you are.
As a bonus, anyone who orders Krispy Kreme from Uber Eats during the offer period will be entered into a draw to win free doughnuts for a year. Someone will win every day of the offer (we make that four people), although how much a year's worth of doughnuts is is anyone's guess. Often these things are calculated on average consumption, and how many doughnuts does an average person eat in a year? Not that many, probably.
Uber Eats Marketing Head Henry Harding comments with glaze round his mouth:
"We know our customers are preparing for the busiest shopping time of the year, so it made sense to give them a little something extra to help them along their way this shopping season.
Working with our friends at Krispy Kreme, we’re offering the ultimate doughnut deal and the chance to win a year’s supply of the tastiest snack around."
If you win as a result of this post and it's more than three doughnuts, save one for your old pals at Giz UK, wouldja? Thanks ever so.
