There's Free Fried Chicken At Guinness' Pop-Up Taproom

By Holly Brockwell on at

If schlepping over to Dublin to try out Guinness' Open Gate Brewery seems a bit of a faff but you'd still like some tasty beer, the Experimental Taproom popup in East London is for you.

Located at the Old Truman Brewery on Brick Lane (Shop 11, Dray Walk) until the 22nd, the Taproom is doubly worth a visit on the 20th between 6 and 7pm, because they'll be giving out free fried chicken strips from Mother Clucker.

Chicken is of course first come, first served (there's a pecking order don'tcha know), but even if you don't get there in time, you can enjoy beery treats including a chilli-flavoured stout, a smoked Marzen lager, a festive Christmassy beer and Open Gate Brewery favourites including Pilsner and Citra IPA.

There are also workshops and tastings you can book tickets to.

In short, if you're visiting the Experimental Taproom, go on the 20th of December between 6 and 7pm to get free chicken. Unless you're a vegan, in which case probably don't.
