Following the announcement that wees will be free at Liverpool Lime Street, Manchester Piccadilly and Leeds stations, Network Rail has a message for the capital: "Londoners, urine."
From April Fool's Day (slightly odd choice) 2019, a number one or two will cost you zero at:
- Clapham Junction
- King's Cross
- Liverpool Street
- Waterloo (appropriately enough)
That doesn't mean it's free everywhere, though: as Londonist points out, you'll still have to cough up to spend a penny at stations like Bank, Green Park, Piccadilly Circus and Westminster.
Still, this is good news for everyone except Network Rail themselves, who'll lose almost £5m from the programme to scrap bog charges. We'll expect to see those charges recouped with one-ply toilet paper.*
*Which everyone knows is a false economy because you just use three times as much.
