We've been deluged with leaks about the Samsung Galaxy S10, but there's been a lot less about the company's upcoming foldable phone. Which is a shame, because foldables are bonkers and we want to know everything, right now.
Thankfully, we do have a little leak from Sammobile, who have found out the colours for the Galaxy Fold (as it's believed to be called):
Samsung is going to offer the device in Blue, Green, Silver and Black colors. The marketing terms for these options may differ and there may also be additional color options.
This is very interesting. We've previously heard that the phone will likely cost a fortune and since it's such early tech, that Samsung aren't expecting to sell a whole lot. So (at least) four colour options seems surprising -- you'd think if it was just a proof-of-concept, early adopter kind of phone, Samsung would just make one colour or perhaps two. Four colours suggests they're expecting to sell so many that people want options -- very interesting when the phone is rumoured to cost about £1400.
The same report has also discovered that there will be a 5G version of the Galaxy Fold, which will definitely be available in South Korea. That's because 5G is actually installed and ready to go over there, whereas of course we're still bickering about who's responsible for what and whether it's OK to use Huawei stuff. Whether our 5G will be ready in time for the 5G Fold to get a release here is unclear, but we've heard rumours that the phone will be exclusive to EE in the UK in any case.
What we do know is that we'll be seeing more of the Galaxy Fold at the February 20th launch of the Galaxy S10, and we're excited.
