It's Deliveroo's sixth birthday on Friday the 1st of March, and to celebrate they've chosen the biggest foody talking point of the last few months – the Greggs sausage roll.
Deliveroo riders will be in lots of London areas giving out free rolls, both vegan and meaty. There'll be 6,000 overall – a thousand for every year of Deliveroo's life so far, obvs. Six free sausage rolls probably wouldn't warrant an article.
Deliveroo CEO Will Shu personally delivered the company's first order back at the beginning, which was apparently from Busaba Eathai in Chelsea.
"Deliveroo was founded, built in and inspired by London. In 6 years we've worked together to build one of Britain’s most successful tech companies, that now operates in over 14 countries.
Deliveroo customers love amazing food whether it's a gourmet burger, protein-packed salad or even one of Greggs’ famous sausage rolls."
Here's where you can get a free roll on Friday:
- The Strand
- Southampton Row
- Ludgate Hill
- Chancery Lane
- East Cheapside
- Victoria Coach Station
- Earls Court
- Elephant & Castle
- Clapham High Street
- Shepherds Bush
Alternatively, you can avoid the scrum and just buy one from Greggs for a quid – find out if your local store has the vegan roll here.
