Turning six isn't a huge deal for most companies, but Deliveroo is apparently pretty excited about their birthday this Friday.
The company has already declared it'll be giving out 6,000 free Greggs sausage rolls in London on the day, and now it's announced a new feature: click and collect.
It's a bit of a strange addition for a company that's all about delivery, but we're assuming this is something customers have been asking for, so *shrug*.
Click and collect will become available later this year, and will let you choose in the app whether you want to have your food brought to you or pick it up yourself. It won't be available for all restaurants, but will apparently be on "thousands" by the end of the year.
We asked Deliveroo whether there would still be a fee for click and collect orders and they couldn't tell us. So it's entirely possible you'll have to pay to pick up your own takeaway.
In addition, Deliveroo announced it's rolling out in 8 more UK towns -- Sunderland, Dartford, Paisley, Birkenhead, Grays, Blackburn, Doncaster and Ashford -- with another 40 by the end of the year. That's good news, at least.
What do you reckon of Collecteroo? Will you use the new service when it's out? Let us know in the comments.
