The Lego Movie 2 has only been in cinemas for a few days, but that's still long enough to reveal some new sets featuring various more-spoilery sections of the story. Three new ones are on the way, ready for release sometime this spring, so let's take a look.
These sets feature some minor spoilers for The Lego Movie 2, so be careful
The first one is, naturally, Emmet's Triple-Decker Couch Mech. This is a 2-in-1 set, much like his space-faring house, letting you choose between couch mode and mech mode. It's going to cost $30 (UK pricing TBA) and comes with Emmet, Sweet Mayhem, and a very angry kitty.Maybe she's angry because her tail turned into a toilet brush?
Next up is 'Shimmer & Shine Sparkle Spa!', where the film's kidnapped heroes are taken after being delivered to the totally-not-evil Queen Watevra W'Nabi. In it you get Lucy with her blue hair, Benny the spaceman, Unikitty, the ‘glampire’ Balthazar, and the animals known as Flaminga, Eight, and Archimedes. It's $70 (UK price TBA). Unfortunately it doesn't look like the big cameo character will be included.
Finally we have 'Queen Watevra’s ‘So-Not-Evil’ Space Palace', alongside a miniature version of the queen herself, Batman in most of his Liberace outfit (sadly the giant fluffy cape is missing), the ice cream cone, a palace guard, and Celeste the vampire. This one is $70, and again UK pricing is TBA.
There's still plenty of stuff from the film we haven't seen in set form (Production Editor Kim has requested a the giant wedding cake scene), but for the time being it's good to know Lego isn't done with The Lego Movie 2. Unfortunately that means buying them all is going to cost a lot more than we all anticipated. [Brickjournal]
