This year, Deliveroo has got on the Easter bandwagon, smartly discerning that lots of us will forget/fail to bother to go outside and buy an egg, and we'd probably appreciate a service that brings one to our door.
But it's not your standard Aero and Yorkie fare here, oh no. The eggs are mega 20cm chonks made of fairtrade white chocolate and weighing 1KG each. They're hand-painted to look just like the dragon eggs from the famous GoT hatching scene, to celebrate the new season coming out on 14th April.
The eggs will be available from a new 'restaurant' called The Hatchery, which will open on the same day the new season airs and stay open 'til the 21st of April, otherwise known as Easter Sunday.
Best of all, while you can easily imagine Deliveroo charging a Lannister's ransom for these gorgeously thicc eggs, they're just 80p. Eighty. Pence. You can barely get a first class stamp for that these days.
If you're waiting for the catch, this is it: the eggs will only be available in Deliveroo Editions areas in London, Manchester and Leeds. That's probably wise, because we reckon an 80p dragon egg with delivery could bankrupt the company otherwise.
Joe Groves at Deliveroo comments while sitting on a giant throne made of chopsticks:
"Easter is coming and so is the final series of our favourite blood-soaked romp. We see huge spikes of orders around season premieres and finales and we thought what better way to celebrate hardcore fans than with these amazing scaly creations."
Even if you don't get one of the bargainous eggs (or you don't like white chocolate, or you're vegan), you'll have a brand new episode of Thrones to console yourself with. Bring on April.
