[No Spoilers] Game of Thrones Can't Stop Leaking

By Holly Brockwell on at

The second episode of series 8 of Game of Thrones leaked early, thanks to Amazon Prime in Germany.

The episode, which aired in the US at 2am Monday morning UK time, just started automatically playing after the first episode for fans in Germany. No such luck here of course, where we don't even have it on Amazon Prime -- it's Sky Atlantic or Now TV for us.

Enterprising pirates immediately snapped up the leak and seeded it to torrenting and streaming sites, so loads of people got the goodies early.

Piracy has been a huge issue for Game of Thrones, not least because of the awkward restrictions around who can watch it, where and when. Censorship and unavailability in India and China were one of the key reasons the first episode of season 8 was pirated more times than the official broadcast was watched, according to MUSO.

In the US, AT&T accidentally leaked the first episode last week, so customers of its DirecTV Now service were not only able to watch the episode four hours early, they even got a push notification alerting them to it. Handy!

As ever, the internet is dark and full of spoilers for the episode, so if you haven't seen it yet, follow our guide here for avoiding having all the good bits spoilt for you before you've had a chance to watch.

If you don't have Now TV, you can get six months free with Sky's Now Broadband until the 7th of May, and the three month special offer for new customers is still on too.
